The best and the worst films of the year 2010

2010 was no different than previous years with films that delivered thrills, chills and major disappointments. The biggest film of the year was without a doubt Inception that not only broke the box office but also our minds. This was also a great year for thrillers from old legends in Shutter Island and The Ghost Writer and also from new filmmakers with films like Buried.

Once again as with every year one film gets all the attention or a lot of attention which sometimes may be unworthy of it. This year the Social Network is my pick for the film with the most unworthy attention. A very good film in its own right that like films of the past will be forgotten for not being anything much more than what it is.

Besides the great moments we also had many bad. Films like Resident Evil, Sex and the City 2 and many more left us with a sour taste of people's talents and capabilities with filmmaking and make us wonder why the hell don't they retire from the movie business and save themselves from even more failures. To conclude no matter the good and the bad and the ugly of 2010 it was a pretty good year overall. 2010 not only managed to wow us but make us laugh, cry, scared and continue to make us love films and also the fact that there are great filmmakers out there old and new that still try to be original and make movie magic happen..
