Goodbye Dark Ages

HARTFORD, CONNECTICUT — A measure legalizing medicinal marijuana won final legislative approval in the state Senate Friday night.

MONTPELIER, VERMONT — A bipartisan bill to improve Vermont's medical marijuana program passed into law Wednesday, making the state the latest of several in New England – and around the country – to pass significant medical marijuana legislation this year. (June 1, 2007)

PROVIDENCE, RHODE ISLAND — The final push to make the Edward O. Hawkins and Thomas C. Slater Medical Marijuana Act permanent is getting underway as legislators concluded formal approval of the bill today. The measure now moves to desk of Gov. Donald Carcieri (R). (May 30, 2007)

MONTPELIER, VERMONT — Steve Perry of Randolph Center welcomed news Thursday that a bill expanding eligibility for the state's medical marijuana registry would become law — even though the governor refused to sign it.
