The biggest movie news of the past week

06/10/2010 to 12/10/2010

Nothing too big in my opinion happened this past week.Too many announcements can call this week interesting enough. First off is the announcement that the movie the team of Ron Howard and Akiva Goldsman known for the films A Beautiful Mind and The Da Vinci Code will be handling the adaption of Stephen King's book series the Dark Tower. Me personally knowing the team I'm not that confident for the adaptation but King is alright with it so be it.

Other announcements is that Clash of the Titans 2 and the Expendables 2 is well on its way. And as we didn't expect it that also Machete 2 has been announced from Robert Rodriguez. To finish with the movie announcements is that Green Lantern that is in production now has already its sequel green-lighted with another DC property the Flash being prepped for pre-production.

Last for the news but not really news but personally the most interesting of the bunch is Clint Eastwood's interview in the Los Angeles Times. In his interview he mentions that he was offered James Bond after Sean Connery left and Superman. I love Clint but could the people be more wrong. Thank God or Science for him declining those offers. An American Bond and a tough guy Superman. Sometimes as unlucky we are with film decisions there are times that we are also too lucky for not seeing things on screen.
