President Obama urgently looked for a way out of the war in Afghanistan last year, repeatedly pressing his top military advisers for an exit plan that they never gave him, according to secret meeting notes and documents cited in a new book by journalist Bob Woodward.
Frustrated with his military commanders for consistently offering only options that required significantly more troops, Obama finally crafted his own strategy, dictating a classified six-page "terms sheet" that sought to limit U.S. involvement, Woodward reports in "Obama's Wars," to be released on Monday. washingtonpost.com

If this is true why didn't Obama just put his foot down and say "You punks are just advisers, I'm the commander in chief, the commander of a nation's military forces, and we are stopping this retarded war!" I have even less respect for Obama (Didn't know that was possible) if this is true, he doesn't even have the balls to stand up to his own advisers.
Obama could have called a press conference, announced that he was ending the war in Afghanistan and suddenly he would be very popular. No guts, no glory I suppose.
