If many of you have not known. Robert Rodriguez famed director, writer, producer of countless films as Desperado, Grindhouse, Sin City has the handle of the Predator franchise. Some good news after the flops of the Alien Vs Predator that were in bad hands. But he will not be directing the film but be close to the making in a producer role.
But director has been chosen. After Rodriguez report of actively searching for the right guy he's found him in the face of Hungarian/American filmaker Nimrod Antal. If you may not know him he is director of films Kontroll which is a dark thriller in Budapest which has won many festival awards. He's made his American film debut with the Horror/Thriller Vacancy and his new film is coming out in September called Armored.
Rodriguez said: "I found him to be an outstanding presence, a great communicator full of ideas... He reminded me of Quentin Tarantino with how he was able to work with a group of very strong, singular actor talents and make it look effortless."
Interesting choice to go with this upcoming filmmaker with European roots. Another thing we saw with "the Last House on the Left" director Dennis Illiadis who is Greek. Also for not be confusion. The film is called Predators in the vain of the seconds Alien film Aliens. As well as the fact that this is not a remake but sequel to the original Predator film with Arnold Schwarzenegger.
